Reading in the Library📚☕️

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Gill Burrell, Saturday 6 December 2025 at 11:57
Today, I have been reading a new french book , which I bought in the library book - sale where I live.

"Les yeux jaunes des crocodiles."
by Katherine Pancol
(The yellow eyes of the crocodiles.)

I made and paid for a hot ☕️  coffee, then I sat on a comfy chair in the library and read the first few pages, to see if I would be able to understand and translate the french in the book into english.  This book is in the genre of Contemporary, humorous female fiction.

Translating is a practical exercise, to see if I can manage to read the first few pages without any difficulties. Hopefully, now I will be able to follow the whole story.

Translating text is a good way to learn to write and speak the language.

I was very pleased to sit in the warm space in the library, because outside the weather was bad, damp and cold with an icy wind.🌫 🌬
