Ping-Pong, Pass the Parcle or Observer?

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Jonathan Vernon, Monday, 29 Aug 2011, 08:41
There are three types in an OU Forum: those who play electronic Ping-Pong and respond to most posts; those who play pass-the-parcel, unwrapping when they believe it is their turn and the observers - possibly the most adult and astute of all; they listen, though they may never say a thing. Are we aware of their presence though? Do they leave crumbs? Is some algorithm logging you attendance somewhere?

I believe there maybe one more - The Fisherman.

I completely agree with your sentiments Mr Vernon with the lovely tan.

Furthermore I believe there to be one more type.

The Fisherman (or woman)

He/She will wait until a comment has been made; one of which will most enhance his/her dry, sarcastic, generally negative attributes.

Then; at the right moment.

Drop in a comment that will only provoke reaction. Once caught on the antagonistic hook, he/she can then retort with furthermore negativity, thus ruining the forum for everybody else.

A rare creature on these forums, but still very real.

Toodles.

crumbs

Yes, they leave crumbs, because you know how many folk have read your blog.

Try breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan on top of fish before grilling. Fish being good for the brain as Jeeves said.

I keep meaning to replace the cheesy photo. I was in too good a mood, the weather was great and I lived by the sea. It was also six years ago. I therefore promise to replace with something more current.
