The OU Study app has recently been updated with many of the changes made possible through the August VLE release. 

Key features and enhancements for version 4.0.2.5 include:

• An uplift of the core app framework which will result in general performance improvements for users.
• Branding updates: the app icon, splash screens and some parts of the colour scheme throughout the app have been updated to match the latest OU branding, keeping the app consistent with the virtual learning environment (VLE).
• A Module downloads screen allows you to download individual activities and files, full weeks of content, see how much space you’re using on your device, and delete any downloads you’re no longer using – all in one place.
• New side menus (accessible through the ‘i' icon in the header). Depending on where in the app you view them, they will contain relevant information such as your module details and an option to easily open the module website in your mobile browser, your progress bar, the option to download the document or file you’re viewing (or delete this download), and the ability to easily refresh the page.
• New Welcome Screens which are tailored so that brand new users will receive a comprehensive overview of the app and its features, while current app users who are updating their app to this new version will have a different set of Welcome Screens, telling them what’s changed in this app version rather than giving them the full tour again.
• ‘Settings’ screen replaced with ‘More’ screen. This reflects the wider range of options in there; not just settings. Students can still submit feedback, rewatch the Welcome Screens, access the support site, update their preferences and navigate to App settings through this screen.
• Other minor UX/UI improvements throughout the app.
