Final TMA, final mark. Quite pleased, solid level 2 pass across the whole course hopefully that will also be the case for the exam...

Excellent day at LSE with LRAC for A219
Tutor Martin Dearne has certainly made one or two aspects somewhat clearer regards to Homer and the Romans and good pointers for revision
Now to put it all to practice!!! exam on June 12th
2/5/12
Finished the final TMA for this module, only the exam in June. Time to prepare for revision but i think i will have a couple of days off!
22/4/12
Final TMA started. I've enjoyed this course but now wish this final one was out of the way. Then I can concentrate on the exam!
1/4/12
I don't know if fellow bloggers can help, but I am currently working towards a history degree and there are 2 modules coming to an end which I would have loved to of had the opportunity to have studied
AA312 Total War and Social change
AA307 Religion in History
Does anyone know if these are been replaced or alternatively does anyone know the simple way to find out through the OU site rather than calling them?
Thanks in anticipation.

I have my result from the latest TMA. more than happy...only one more to go + exam
2/3/12
Phew, latest TMA submitted. Only one to go then the exam, however it will be a reluctant bye, bye to the Greeks and Romans!
18/2/12
Anyone out there who knows how to reference podcasts?
in text and bibliography.
18/2/12
good tutorial today...now its down to writing the next TMA, I'm a bit behind with the block, however the last chapter can be ignored for TMA. (or at least I'm going too) Will have to come back to it later as there seems to be loads of time before the last TMA and even more time before the exam.
2/2/12
Off to the British Museum for a study day on Saturday, which should be fun! I notice quite a few from the course have also said they are going!!! However what I'm really looking forward to is actually going down to London tomorrow and having lunch at Helene Darroze michelin star restaurant in the Connaught!
great to have a long weekend!!!!!

TMA3 result is back, very pleasantly surprised, during my short time as anOU student, (my second year...first level 2 course) this was by far the most difficult essay...additionally my tutors commentsare really constructive. Which I'm sure they always are, but if I'm honest I've just starting to acknowledge them rather than try and disagree...I must be learning. Its quite enlightening really !!!!
22/1/12
I haven't posted for a while, waiting for TMA3 result, but to be fair to the tutor he has other courses to mark...he did say as yesterdays tutorial that he had started this modules TMAs. Anyhow not expecting any earth shattering mark as I really found this essay difficult. Half way through this years course now and ontoblock 3, so just two more essay's and then an exam!!! ummm.
13/1/12
Submitted TMA, but not happy with it, think I should have used a different interpretation of propaganda rather than the the modern one I have used...should have used OCCC version. Damn,damn...oh well a leaning curve and onto the Romans now!!!
8/1/12
finished the next TMA...thank the Lord or Zeus or I should say Athena
2/1/12
I'm finding this next TMA a real drag...doing anything that distracts me from it...like looking at clips on youtube!!! although course related. In search of the Trojan wars!! well its not quite course related as we have now past this section and onto Pericles etc...
29/12/11
I can tell its time for a new TMA, distrating myself writing my blog rather than an essay!!
This time its in 2 parts 500 word source analysis then 1500 essay on propaganda (or not) depending on my side of the argument...
I think i must be like a large% of the students...enjoy the studying but not the TMAs...and then of course when you get a decent mark, one is quite happy about essays!
22/12/11
I haven't posted anything recently...been bogged down with work and have got behind with my studying. I wish I were like many who seem to be doing an OU course. (i.e. some don't seem to have a day job!!!! they are so lucky) I just wish I had more time to read in more depth about the subjects I'm studying!
oh well moan over...
6/12/11
I can't find JSTOR through the OU site...Arrrr.
30/11/11
TMA2 back...could be better but could have been worse. not 100% (or anywhere near), but within the range I want to be in.
25/11/11
Waiting for the next TMA mark...I had it back by now with my last mark...
Anyhow adding a couple of pictures of latest trip to British Museum, all to do with my A219 module of course. Should really be be studying I guess, but have now had a glass of wine and on my second...
15/11/11
TMA2 submitted... early, yes, but I've had enough playing around with it...now its in the fate of the gods...but which one? maybe Zeus or maybe the grey-eyed goddess!
14/11/11
TMA2 is now done...yippee, may need to play with it a little but in the main it will have to do...
13/11/11
well, quite a nice couple of days in London, went to see Lysistrata.V. good then spent a few hours in the British Museum the following day...which apart from being really interesting was also (or hopefully will be) for helping with the next 2 TMAs...and talking of which, started TMA 2 yesterday, I feel I have broken the back of it!!!!
Oh a bit of a PS...fab lunch at Pied a Terre
8/11/11
I'm struggling a bit with the next TMA, (old pots and the Iliad, strange subject to write about!) I know what is needed and I think i have the ideas and material, but i'm finding it difficult to put down in a form that is cohesive...
what to do???? I guess if in doubt have another glass of red and pontificate!
6/11/11
Off to see Lysistrata on Thursday night at the Rose Theatre, Kingston...should be useful for block 2. Hopefully we will take in the British Museum and maybe Westminster abbey on the Friday...
