Apologies in advance.

Visible to anyone in the world

So I thought about getting ahead a little bit. Key word being 'thought'. That was until my friend suggested 'once upon a time' would be a good series to watch. Oh dear. It appears I'm slightly hooked. Watch it. if you join the dark side.. Sorry!

on a more OU related note, I finally have my tutor. Woohoo! Although it feels like a long wait I realise it was only really a couple of weeks or so and I'm just a ridiculously impatient person sometimes! Hashtag...new discovery made. I've also realised that I can't make the majority of the face to face tutorials so my poor tutor will have to get used to me dripping online (Dripping = complaining). sorry tutor!

I would stay and write some more... But I want to watch my addiction.

see you later!

Hello you!

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Aislinn Beavis, Thursday, 28 Aug 2014, 12:39

Hello everyone smile my name's Aislinn. I'm 25 and live in weymouth/Yeovil. I work as an Aircraft Engineer in the Royal Navy.

so, why the HELL am I doing a psychology degree? quick answer: I have absolutely no idea.

psychology has always been a subject of interest to me. Particularly criminology and forensics. I like to know what makes people tick. Why we let certain things get under our skin, whilst we skim past others. What influences our behaviour when it comes to how we treat other people. I want to know why that guy on the news thought it would be a great idea to attack several people, why he chose to do it in such an elaborate manner and why he doodled a dinosaur in the dirt next to the body.

but then I also quite like the idea of just having a degree I guess.. Maybe it's just that. Maybe I'll get the degree and at the end think 'you know what, I'm not actually too bothered about this stuff..'. I'm hoping not. Otherwise I'm dealing with all this anxiety, excitement and nervous energy about starting the course for no reason whatsoever. It did however give me a great excuse to buy a desk and a shed full of stationary..

I wasn't expecting this introductory post to go on in such a rambling fashion. I guess we don't always reach the expected outcome of our actions. (Life lesson no.1! Thanks mum.)

anyway, I'm planning on delving into the forensic route of the course. Give me a shout if you also have no idea what you're about to embark on!

Toodle pip!

Edit:: I've just noticed how much I said 'I guess' in this post. I never say that. Apologies if it was an infuriating read!
