Conformity

Visible to anyone in the world
Well, my last post wasn't censored, so maybe I'll start blogging more again, although I have been looking at other sites and might just get a blog site of my own set up. But that is all for another day as I am off to the south of France tomorrow for a week's holiday and will be at the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, another tick off the bucket list.

Anyway, just a short one today as I wanted to share some information mentioned in a book I am reading at present - Atomic Habits by James Clear. I was in the library yesterday and while waiting for the computer to load up I noticed it on the shelf. I had heard a lot about this book in the last year so, I started reading and am now halfway through it.

The bit I wanted to share was in relation to a study by Thomas Asch on conformity from the 1950's (link below).I won't go into detail as I don't have time today but he basically concluded that people would prefer to be wrong with the crowd than be right alone. Very interesting in light of what has gone down since 2020. It would appear that the psychological techniques of manipulation that have been used against us for decades were ramped up and the entire arsenal wheeled out for covid.

Anyway, it might be worth looking into in more detail if only for your own personal information especially since the onslaught of propaganda, lies and misinformation continues unabated, and the more you know about these things the less chance there is that you can be used to promote certain issues are seem to be part of an ongoing war against the mental health of the population.
