Who was Jack the Ripper?

Visible to anyone in the world

Jack the Ripper is the infamous pseudonym given to an unidentified serial killer who operated in the Whitechapel district of London between 1888 and 1891. He is believed to have murdered at least five women—often referred to as the "canonical five"—all of whom were prostitutes. The killings were characterized by extreme mutilation, leading to speculation that the murderer had anatomical knowledge. Despite numerous theories and suspects, the true identity of Jack the Ripper remains unknown.
