THOUGHTS

Visible to anyone in the world

I resumed work on my EdD studies after a month of being busy with other things. It's horrible. It's so hard to get into it again after a period of downtime.

It feels as though taking up my studies again is as hard as quitting smoking.

I was a smoker once and quitting was very painful - the constant temptation to light up again, headaches, stress, anxiety, the general state of dizziness, 'doziness', laziness caused by the withdrawal, etc.

Going back to my studies feels the same in reverse. Picking up the habit again where I left it entails very similar symptoms - the constant temptation of doing something else (or doing nothing), headaches, stress, anxiety, and the exact same state of general clunkiness in my head and body.

Weird. Must remember not to smoke ever again. Not to abandon my studies ever again.

Best wishes to all.
