Goals are dreams with deadlines

Visible to anyone in the world

5 day's to the rest of my part time degree! Scary to say out loud.

I attend my first day school at my chosen university on 5th October, I've spoken to my tutor whom I am familiar with and I've communicated with the tutor that is taking the lecture.

I joined a WhatsApp group, first of all I thought it was a good idea, until I soon realised every joined member where "jumping the gun" by being overly keen completing the first assignment or discussing it; which if I'm being honest, it confused me completely. That group was short lived!

Something I seemed to of established early on is, don't worry where everyone else is during the study program, focus on yourself, if you start worrying about where other people are, you are doomed to fail.

Ive been finding the student hub live useful, lots of useful tips and exciting other online activities you can join and be apart off.

As part of my prioritising study ethic I managed to get hold of my Totum card, very useful and highly recommend getting this sorted if you haven't already, this can and will make studying life easier.

Count Down

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Charlotte Ariss, Sunday, 22 Sep 2019, 16:53

So the count down begins, understanding the real meaning to prioritising time, with an extremely full on job I guess doubt enters my mind on completion, fulfilment and being successful, am I the only one feeling this slight anxious feeling?

The online site it quite difficult to get my head around, different links, different stations, at the moment its all a little blur, I hope like you all, I get use to the functionalities.

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Charlotte Ariss, Sunday, 22 Sep 2019, 15:07

So, it was nearly 15 years ago I was in any form of education, back when I was 16 years old studying for my GCSE's thinking at that persist moment it was the most important time.

Few years later I completed my level 2 in hairdressing, working for the top hairdressers in London, working for top designers at LFW, This Morning TV program and working along side the BAFTA'S, unfortunately for me this career came to a end, due to health reasons I couldn't fulfill..

I decided the line of sales, sales marketing would be a good place to start and build my experience. For almost 10 years now I have been working and gaining on the job experience in many different business sectors and now I am working for one of the most biggest food manufactures in the world as a Sales Development Manager responsible for millions pounds businesses.

OU was something I recently thought about; will I be able to fulfill the expectation of a student, will I be academically clever enough, lists of thoughts where entering my mind and a huge cloud of doubt hovered over me. Once I spoke to the OU team expressing my concerns, I felt more at ease and felt I can do this!

So here I am, enrolled and waiting to start my exciting journey...

I hope you readers can follow and read my blogs on this exciting journey with me.
