I attended a very good tutorial yesterday evening, technology- wise I managed ok, without any gremlins! The tutorial was not with my own tutor, but the timings are more convenient for these particular tutorials.
The tutor was nice, she was very easy going and friendly.
Picked up a few tips and ideas along the way for TMA01, .listened carefully to the language being spoken and getting used to hearing the spoken language. Felt like this was a positive meeting, so I will probably go back again, to this particular tutor group in the future.

Mon amie et moi apprenons le français ensemble. Elle semble avoir un penchant naturel pour apprendre la langue française et est capable d'apprendre très rapidement. Très bientôt, elle m'apprendra à parler français !

Il y a de nombreuses années j'ai visité la Bretagne. La Bretagne est dans la région nord-ouest de la France.J'ai apprécié mon séjour là-bas, car j'aime la nature sauvage de la côte rocheuse qui est si naturelle et préservée.
Mes endroits préférés en France étaient Rennes et la ville côtière de Saint Malo qui est construite sur une forteresse rocheuse. Une autre region J'ai visité est mont st Michel. Je suis intéressée à étudier ce domaine et la langue régionale du breton.

I was really pleased with the taster session this evening which I attended. I was able to hear the person clearly on the other end and I could speak on the microphone. Very grateful "thank you" to the Open University for providing this excellent service!

Mon amie et moi, nous apprenons à parler français ensemble. Mon amie progresse bien en français et très bientôt elle sera meilleure que moi !
Un jour nous prévoyons de faire un voyage à Paris ( un rêve! ) et d'essayer de parler français.
Pour le moment, c'est un dur labeur d'étudier (nous utilisons un bon livre d'étude en français)
mais on essaie de faire plaisir et d'écrire quelques petites histoires en français pour s'amuser. Nous allons également faire une petite pièce de théâtre ou un sketch comique et nous enregistrer en train de parler. Cela en soi sera en fait très drôle!

Following my last tutor group technical difficulties, I am going to book a taster session today with the OU, to test out my computer connection. Hopefully I can sort out any issues I have with their help, and be ready for next time, to successfully participate in my tutor group.

I was so disappointed not to have been able to get my microphone to work, in my first tutor group, I was really looking forward to it!
I asked the other son to have a look at the computer and he thinks he may have spotted the problem, he plugged it into his lap top and it worked ok. I am such a technical dummy!
I will try to make it to another tutorial. Hopefully maybe next time it will work😭
PS Comme je n'ai pas reussi à étre branché avec mon microphone pendant le tutorial, Je me suis consolée avec un gros morceaux de gâteau et une bonne tasse de café! ☕🍰

La semaine dernière, j'ai pris le bus et je suis allé dans la grande ville la plus proche. C'était une belle journée ensoleillée avec seulement quelques nuages dans le ciel.
J'allais rendre visite à mon fils aîné qui habite là-bas. J'y étais aussi pour faire quelques courses (choses que je ne trouve pas dans mon supermarché ici!)
J'étais juste en train de regarder par la fenêtre pour admirer la vue de le champ, quand soudain deux beaux faons sont apparus de la forêt, 🦌🦌 ensemble ils ont couru à travers le champ. C'était une belle chose à voir !
J'aurais aimé avoir mon appareil photo avec moi !

I have just been reading the posts on the forums, seeing who everyone is and how they are getting on. What have they been studying and what tips they are giving to help other students in the same tutor groups. It is all very friendly and encouraging. I have put an introduction post on the forum. Looking at the materials, it is all looking very interesting and it is a brand new module which is all very good! 👩💻

Lately I have begun making voice recordings, this is to improve my pronunciation in french speaking. Voice recording is a good way for me to remember the words and how they sound. Been Practising speaking, just like in a role play to try to take away the stress of public speaking. I hope it helps ! 🎙🎧📻📼

The first week will soon be upon me after this induction period. I have now explored the module, I have booked a tutorial and I have looked in detail at the first TMA.
The word count is ok not too long!

Après avoir vécu ici a la compagne pendant de nombreuses années, j'apprends beaucoup de choses sur la nature et la survie. Ou ont à trouver des meilleur fruit pour faire la confiture at les noix et champignons. Puis pour trouver des vendeurs de légumes qui vendent des légumes de bonne qualité à des prix raisonnables.
Il n'est pas toujours facile de nettoyer et de stocker les produits pour qu'ils ne pourrissent pas, mais j'ai trouvé une bonne place dans un grand placard , Je conserverai également certains de mes fruits au réfrigérateur. J'espère qu'ils dureront bien! 🌰🍎🥜🍄

C'est le mois de septembre. Nous avons été à l'extérieur pour chercher de la nourriture (foraging) Nous avons cueilli beaucoup de pommes, de poires et de baies de fruits qui ont maintenant été transformées en confiture. Nous avons même fait de la confiture de betteraves en purée et y avons ajouté du sucre qui est délicieux sur des petits pains ! Récemment, nous avons trouvé des champignons, des noix et des châtaignes. En tant que végétarien flexible, j'aime les noix et les transformer en repas avec des autres légumes.
C'est formidable !

I am in my third and final year of BA French L332 Studies. At the moment I am helping my friend to learn french so I suppose I am a sort of study buddy for her. At the same time it is helping me to remember a few words I may have already forgotten! We study together so this is quite fun at the same time. I am not so young anymore so it really helps me to keep the little grey brain cells working!
I am looking forward to October and try to fit in lots of preparation and reading.

I am very much looking forward to starting my final year, third level french L332. I have been talking to my friend who wants to learn french too. I am trying to help her to speak french, so we have been reading very basic french, which is also good revision for me in case I had forgotten any french words!
I have been reading some books in french, including some fables, detective stories, romantic novels and a collection of novellas. I try to understand what I am reading and use my french dictionary. I can understand french better than I can speak it!
I am waiting with great excitement now to this module and learning more french.

Cette Semaine J'ai découvert les 2 premières unités du module de français L332 (troisiéme niveau) sur le site étudiant. J'ai réussi à le parcourir et à trouver le premier devoir de TMA 01. C'est difficile !

I really admired Queen Elizabeth 2nd she was such a gracious, kind and wise lady who represented our country well. Queen Elizabeth presented herself to other countries as a polite, sympathetic and interested ambassador for our country, always ready to listen to the opinion of others. She was not too political and did not try to influence or interfere too much in the politics of the country but left it to the politicians. No doubt she had her own views and opinions like everyone else but she kept them to herself and concentrated more on her charity work of helping those worthy causes which were very close to her heart. She was much respected and much loved. We will miss her.

J'ai été dans mon jardin presque tous les jours, toujours lire ! assise sur mon banc en bois, dans mon refuge, à l'ombre des bois, ou me prélasser dans ma pataugeoire, ou à table sur la terrasse sous l'auvent, ou passer un peu du temps sur le banc de la balançoire en plein soleil et maintenant J'ai un bronzage!! 🤩
